Short answer
Not properly. PayPal doesn't let you receive money into a Nepal account and Nepali bank accounts can't be linked to withdraw. Most freelancers get paid through Payoneer, a platform's own bank transfer or a SWIFT transfer straight into a Nepali bank account.
The details
What works instead
- Payoneer. Most freelance platforms can pay out to it and you can withdraw to a Nepali bank account in rupees.
- The platform's own bank transfer. Several freelance marketplaces can pay straight into a Nepali bank account.
- SWIFT transfer. A client can wire money to your Nepali bank account. The bank converts it at that day's rate.

Why PayPal doesn't work here
PayPal's service in Nepal is limited, and Nepal Rastra Bank's foreign exchange rules control how money moves in and out of the country. NRB has said publicly that it wants PayPal to launch here but there is no full service yet. Using someone else's foreign account to get around this can break PayPal's terms and get your money frozen.
This answer is marked needs review because payment rules in Nepal have changed several times since 2021.
