Short answer
Open the app, go to the KYC or profile section and fill in your personal details, then upload clear photos of both sides of your citizenship (or another accepted ID) and a photo of yourself. Use the same name, date of birth and ID number as your documents. Verification is done by the wallet company and usually takes a day or two. Until you're verified you can't send money to other wallets or withdraw to a bank.

Common problems
My KYC was rejected.
The usual reasons are a blurred or cropped photo, details that don't match the citizenship exactly or a selfie that doesn't match the ID. Fix the details and submit again.
What can an unverified wallet do?
Very little. eSewa says unverified users can't transfer to other wallets or withdraw. Khalti asks for KYC before any transaction.
How much can I send?
Limits are set by each wallet under Nepal Rastra Bank rules. On Khalti, a verified user can send Rs 50,000 a day to other wallets (Rs 5 lakh a month) and Rs 2 lakh a day to a bank (Rs 10 lakh a month). On eSewa, wallet transfers are up to Rs 25,000 each and Rs 50,000 a day, and bank withdrawals up to Rs 50,000 each and Rs 2 lakh a day.
Do limits apply to bills and fees?
Khalti says government fees, taxes, utility bills, insurance premiums, social security contributions and school fees aren't capped by the merchant payment limit.
